Snippets · A Vitana venture
The world, in a snip.
Snippets is live news on a map. Pick a continent, then a country, then an Indian state, and read what is being reported there right now: each story grouped from every outlet covering it, in two or three lines, with links to the originals.
Snippets runs as its own site and is in preview. It opens in a new tab at snippets-news.saksham-snippets.workers.dev.
How it works
Short, fair, traceable.
Snippets shows headlines, short summaries and links. It never copies articles: the full story always belongs to its publisher.
Choose a place
Zoom from the world to a continent, a country and an Indian state, or search any topic.
See the story once
Reports about the same event are grouped into one card, with a count of the outlets covering it.
Go to the source
Open a card to see every outlet, its time and a link to the original article.
Our promise
News you can check.
Live coverage comes from an open global news index. Machine-written summaries are always labelled. No accounts, no ads and no trackers.
Corrections and grievance contacts are published on the Snippets site, in line with India's IT Rules. [Grievance officer details]
